Three easy steps
- Open the link I text youWhile we're on the phone, I'll text or email you a link. Open it on the computer you need help with. The download takes a few seconds.
- Open itDouble-click the file you downloaded. If your computer asks "Do you want to allow this app?", click Yes or Open.
- Read me the codeThe app shows a short number. Read it to me over the phone and I'll connect.
Is this safe?
- You can see everything I do on your screen.
- You can end the session at any time by closing the app.
- The code only works once. When we're done, I can't get back in.
- I'll never ask for your bank or credit card passwords.
A word about scams
Real tech companies don't call you about a virus, and they never ask for gift cards. If someone does, hang up and call me. I'm happy to check whether it's real, free of charge.
